Many of us have heard the term ‘trauma-informed,’ but do we know what it means or how to integrate it into our work? Do we know how to use trauma-informed practice to respond in an appropriate and sensitive manner to students or colleagues who disclose their experiences with harm or trauma to us? This session will address what trauma-informed means, how to use it in your role, and how we can respond to disclosures without causing more harm. NOTE: This session is tailored to the needs of staff, faculty, and other instructors (including TAs.) For questions or accommodation needs, please email Kaeleigh Hayakawa, Violence Prevention Coordinator, at hayakawk@uci.edu.
